Global News summer internship

Global News is currently seeking candidates for a summer internship, through a bursary by the Caisse de depôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ).
With a focus on business and economics reporting. The internship will last between 12 and 16 weeks, ideally during the summer.

The bursary recipient should be interested in business and economics reporting. The recipient will be expected to work a regular 37.5 hour week (there is no overtime) with flexible hours based on their assignments. About half of the work will be producing a series of stories with a business/economic theme. The other half will be general assignment work – doing research for the news and desk and writing copy for the web. Due to Covid-19, we do not foresee the recipient doing television reporting at this time, unless restrictions are lifted in the interim.

Those interested should submit their CV, a 250 word letter explaining why they want to work at Global, and a 250 word letter describing their career plans, to news director/station manager Karen Macdonald at Karen.Macdonald@globalnews.ca by March 31.
