[ Volunteer ] – CJLO

CJLO 1690AM is hiring volunteers!
CJLO 1690 AM is Concordia’s only radio station. CJLO is 100% non-profit and runs entirely on the power of its volunteers and it’s a part of our mission to teach and train students and community members. CJLO can offer hands-on training in broadcasting, sound production, live recording, promotions, sales, broadcast administration, news writing and reporting, marketing, and much more! Our volunteers go on to work in commercial radio, the music industry, broadcast journalism, and many other fields. In today’s competitive workforce, experience is vital. Volunteering at CJLO is a great place to gain the experience you need to stand out in any industry.
Volunteers run their shows in any language they feel comfortable in and we are always open to airing third-language shows. Other than that, you can sign up to volunteer with our news team, our magazine team, or our production team as well!

If you are interested, the first steps to get involved at the station would be to visit this link (http://cjlo.com/volunteer) for more information and then complete a Volunteer Application right here: https://cjlo1690am.formstack.com/forms/volunteer_application.
We will then get back to you to schedule an intake meeting to discuss your volunteer goals and which departments you would like to help out with!

Have questions? Feel free to email us at volunteer@cjlo.com
If you’re an international student, don’t hesitate to reach out to Sunidhi, our Volunteer Coordinator for International Students & Third-Language Programming at international@cjlo.com to know more about how you can get involved at CJLO.

– Excellente maîtrise du français à l’oral et à l’écrit;

– Bon jugement éditorial et sens de la nouvelle;

– Maximum de deux ans d’expérience cumulée dans un média d’information;

– Aucun lien d’emploi actuel avec Radio-Canada;
