Job – QCNA seeking freelancers

The Quebec Community Newspaper Association (https://qcna.qc.ca/) represents English-language community newspapers across the province. Our newspapers are in several regions of the province, including the Eastern Townships, Outaouais, Laurentians, Gaspé and Montreal.

We’ve recently launched an initiative called News Matters that aims to provide editorial content of interest to readers across Quebec.

As part of the project, we would like to run news articles and features from Concordia journalism students. The articles would be made available to member papers to run on their websites or print editions.

We would be very interested in receiving news story ideas from students. The list of possible topics is quite broad with the only criteria that the articles be of interest to a Quebec-wide readership.

Payment is $100 to $150 for articles ranging from about 500 to 750 words.

Please send story ideas to QCNA editor Danny Kucharsky at editor@qcna.qc.ca
