CIM Magazine Paid Editorial Internship

CIM Magazine, which covers the latest advances in ideas, trends and technology in the Canadian mining industry, is offering a 16-week paid internship opportunity for upper-year students and recent graduates. The intern will work remotely from home and have the chance to contribute to all aspects of magazine editorial, in both print and online.

During the internship, the intern will be required to write our weekly newsletter, news articles, conduct interviews, attend regular story meetings and participate in the magazine production process (source photos, proofread the issue and other related tasks).

This is an opportunity for students to work with a B2B National Magazine Award-winning publication, gain valuable experience in the journalism industry, expand their portfolio and develop skills through on-the-job training.

About us:

The print edition of CIM Magazine is published by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) eight times per year. Each edition is distributed to more than 8,000 CIM members and at industry-related events and conferences throughout the year. The team prides itself on producing high-quality journalism written by seasoned journalists.

  4. The intern will work 35 hours per week for 16 weeks, with the possibility of extension. Due to the remote aspect, technical requirements are a phone, internet and a computer with camera and microphone.

All applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
