CBC Radio’s doc making/mentorships programs

CBC Radio’s doc making/mentorships programs are back this year and we want students and recent grads to apply!

These programs offer an opportunity for emerging journalists to produce documentaries for CBC Radio shows with the help of mentors.

Briefly, here are the two programs that students would be eligible for:

1) The Doc Mentorship Program pairs candidates with mentors from various Net Talk shows. Under the mentor’s guidance, the candidate will make a doc for the mentor’s home show.

2) The Emerging Indigenous Doc Maker Program will be pairing the next generation of Indigenous journalists with Duncan McCue to make a doc for either Day 6, Tapestry, Out In The Open or Unreserved.

Deadlines are three times a year: Oct. 1, 2018, Dec. 3, 2018 and Feb. 4, 2019
