Web content writers are expected to create work that is optimized for the Web. Provide entertaining, educational, and engaging articles and posts that translate to our newsletters, blog, and training platforms. Research and write compelling content marketing assets, including but not limited to: Presenter narratives; industry updates; culture pieces; short and long-form video and web content. Work closely with the Marketing, User Experience, Product Development, Training and Recognition Teams to identify and execute opportunities for highlighting, celebrating and communicating our Presenter success stories. Ensure on-brand consistency in messaging, content, and other communications.

Purpose:
Create content, participate actively and collaborate to an organic strategy that changes and evolve all the time.
The candidate will be answering to the Chef of Marketing.

Position Requirements:
The idea candidate has:
• Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience, experience in the SAS mode selling is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree. Majors in Marketing, Journalism, or English preferred.
• Bilingual (English, French) oral and written, but you are stronger in English, we will take care of the French
• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex concepts into clear, concise, and powerful messages
• Outstanding communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills with a team-first mentality
• A track record of developing great content that strategically appeals to the social audience while maintaining a strong, uplifting voice
• A demonstrated ability to convey complex concepts simply and artfully. Common Web content writing practices include:

Videographer / Writer Internship

LIFT Session is looking to hire a writer and videographer to contribute to their online partnership initiative.
LIFT’s mission is to help individuals lead healthier lives. Our platform connects fitness enthusiasts with live coaches for 1-on-1 and group fitness sessions that can be done wherever and whenever the athlete wants.
Interns would have the opportunity to:

The candidate would be able to work from home or the LIFT Session head office located in the Old Port. There will be occasions in which Lift would need the candidate present at the office. The split would be 70/30, but the candidate can choose to spend more time at the office if they choose.

Position Requirements:
There are two types of ideal candidate, a videographer and a writer. If these skill sets can be found in one candidate that would be great.
Lift will be also happy to have two interns work as a team to capture compelling visuals to go with the articles.

• Videographer: The ideal videographer would have experience filming and editing footage. She/He would be familiar with Final Cut Pro and Photoshop and have a keen eye for constructing a compelling visual stories. Lift is looking for somebody capable of thinking outside the box and pitching stories that they believe would be interesting to its target audience. If the candidate has an interest in health and wellness this would be a huge benefit

• Writer: The ideal writer would have experience conducting interviews, be able to quickly learn about topics and develop compelling interview questions and recognize interesting / trending topics that are relevant to our target audience. They would be resourceful when piecing together stories and quickly understand the “voice” that LIFT has.

The intern will work with the Yukon Human Rights Commission on a variety of public legal education and research projects in the area of human rights.
This will include a major in-depth research project, as well as shorter projects like opinion editorials, fact sheets, press releases, web content, systemic discrimination research, and other forms of research and writing in the area of public education about human rights in Yukon.

Purpose:
Journalists for Human Rights (JHR) is coordinating an internship opportunity at the Yukon Human Rights Commission for an emerging Indigenous reporter through its Indigenous Reporters Program.

Position Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an energetic, independent worker and critical thinker who is passionate about human rights, diversity, and inclusion. Expect to work collaboratively, to learn about human rights law, and to connect directly with the public in a meaningful way about human rights issues. Skills in public speaking, research and writing are essential. Additional skills in digital media (photography and film production/editing), social media, are considered an asset but not essential.
