Equitas is looking for an intern to assist us with our communication activities.
In this role, you will provide assistance to the Communications Manager in media relations and promotion of the 8th International Conference on Human Rights Education. Forum for practitioners, policy-makers and academics, this 3.5-day conference will assemble 300 participants from all over the world for practical workshops and insightful sessions featuring the latest tools, knowledge and good practices in human rights education.
You will also be responsible for the creation and publication of articles related to human rights, conduct interviews, write articles, and contribute to the management of social networking and to the organization’s website.
To be successful in this role, you need excellent command of written French or English (or both), the ability to speak both languages and a great interest in international news and issues related to human rights.
You will be able to work with all other members of the staff and will be required to contact governmental institutions, human rights educators and activists in Canada and around the world.
