Brunswick News is looking for reporters with curiosity, a keen news sense, a hunger to break stories and a clean, clear writing style. Skills in photography, video and graphics are definitely an asset.

They are also looking for editors with a broad range of skills, from fact-checking and copy-editing to writing headlines and news alerts, choosing photos and participating in digital and print production.

Position Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have:
•  A university or college-level studies in journalism or related education.
• A previous newsroom experience is preferred, but not necessary.
• A clear writing style and a demonstrated ability to work quickly and accurately on deadline.
• Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, particularly in high-stress situations.
• Sound knowledge of Canadian Press style.
• Excellent command of the English language (fluency in French is an asset).
• An understanding of media law.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and content.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada through September, 2017.
• For reporters, the ability to shoot compelling photo and video.
• For reporters, a valid driver’s licence. Access to a reliable vehicle is required for some positions.
