Community Manager (alternatively, Shepherd of the Flock)

Hi team

We are Compulsion Games, a small independent video game studio based in an old gramophone factory, in Saint Henri, Montreal. Our first game, Contrast, released last year on the launch of the PS4. It was a game about shadows.

We are looking for someone to help us engage with our community. This means, in no particular order, social media, forums, interviews, articles and blog posts, conventions, reddit, etc. You are going to be the day to day person that people talk to about our games, and will be their link to what’s going on inside the studio.

It would be neat if you had some or all of these qualities:
– You love games, and love talking about them.
– You are capable of using twitter without screaming, and might even enjoy it.
– You need to be well spoken, with good grammar and spelling (see Mum, I told you it was important!).
– You’re fairly outgoing, enthusiastic, and friendly.
– You enjoy communicating. Seriously – this is pretty much going to be your job. If you don’t like interacting with others, this is not for you.
– You are able to come down to Saint Henri to work with us, and don’t mind answering tweets when you’re not with us.
– You are eligible to work in Canada.

Please send me an email if you’re interested, and let me know if you’re looking for a full or part time role.

Cheers ears
Sam

The Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre has been interviewing survivors for the past 20 years and the project is still running, though on a smaller scale now. The MHMC is looking for volunteers who have time and dedication to record the interviews.
They are usually done in 1 to 3 sessions, each about one and a half to two hours. The sessions are during the day – morning or early afternoon and occasionally there is an interview on a Sunday.
