News reporting internship

a SAF sponsored Cinema Politica screening and commercial launch
Wednesday, March 22nd: SustainabiliTEAS workshop with Sustainable Concordia
Friday, March 24th: Special 10th anniversary panel in H-110 followed by a cocktail hour with our panelists

The Sustainability Action Fund is looking for two interns during that week.

In collaboration with the outreach coordinator, the two interns will work as a team to report on all SAF related activities during the week.

The internship includes:
• Writing short posts for social media (Facebook, Twitter) as well as blog posts for the News section of our website
• Interviewing participants, partners & panelists
• Taking photos and videos
• Generally assisting in all aspects of newsgathering

CIM Magazine is published by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) eight times per year.
CIM is offering a 12-week paid internship opportunity for upper-year students and recent graduates.

During the internship, the intern will mainly be called upon to:
• write and edit copy
• conduct interviews
• attend story meeting
• and see the magazine progress through the production cycle.
• contribute to some communications, marketing and social media projects.

Our coverage of mining includes the technical, financial, social and environmental aspects of the industry. Each issue of the magazine contains product briefs, news, columns from experts in the field, a number of short features, a profile of a mining project, a long-form feature story, updates on various activities of the Institute, mining lore.
